what is BGA test socket ?

sometimes , when get a iC, we can,t sure which is a good or bad IC, when you need to produce a lot of product, if you just put it in our PCBA board, maybe our board can't work, because of this IC have something wrong. more even our PCB board got totally destroyed. that waste our time , labour power and money.
and our chip is also not cheap , we use so much time to research and development this IC, maybe it's just a little problem if we can spend a little time to check and if we have a tool. this tool chip test socket
